Admission Policy

The Westfields Play & Learn Children’s Center is a cooperative effort of parents, community members and Knowledge Learning Corporation, Inc. Westfields Play & Learn Children’s Center welcomes any child regardless of race, sex, religion, ancestry or national origin. We believe in providing equal care and attention to all children.

Children with special needs will be considered for admission when the Director and licensing agencies determine that the Center can meet the needs of the child without affecting the care for the rest of the children.

Admission Procedure

It takes approximately one hour to enroll your child in a Play & Learn Center. Simply follow the steps below:

1. Contact the Center Director and make an appointment. Plan to bring your child for the tour.
    
2. Once you have decided to enroll your child, turn in the wait list form. At this time you will receive an enrollment folder. It contains an emergency contact form, an immunization form (blue form), and a proof of birth verification as well as other paperwork that helps us get to know your child. These documents must be filled out completely in order to enroll your child at Westfields Play & Learn. 
    
3. Have your child’s doctor fill out the Immunization Record and Health Inventory (blue form).
    
4. Two weeks before the actual enrollment date an amount equal to a half month’s tuition will be collected as the deposit and returned upon termination of the contract with two weeks notice. Any helping Hands points in arrears will be deducted at that time. Should you decide not to enroll after your deposit has been collected, your deposit will not be returned.
    
5. The initial registration fee of $60 will be charged. A re-registration fee of $35 is collected annually.

**Making friends, learning unfamiliar routines and trusting new adults is a tremendous task for a young child. Filling out all of the paperwork may seem time consuming and unnecessary, but it enables our staff to help your child make an easy transition and insure a positive, secure experience in a Play & Learn center.**

The Center maintains a waiting list for each group. Children are placed on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Siblings receive priority.  After siblings, children of Quest Diagnostics employees receive first priority for enrollment at the Quest facility. A non-refundable $60 fee is required in order to be on the waiting list. This amount will be credited towards the registration fee upon enrollment.
